Has social networking seen its day? Social awareness may be the next thing. Anyone may stay ahead of the game and make a profit with new social business ideas.

When exploring marketing business ideas, there are many ideas to work with. Social networking has become a big keyword for many marketers, for big and small businesses alike. Places like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have become centers for user generated information. With that came plans from businesses on how to utilize those services for promotional purposes.

That meant hiring social network professionals. An entire industry was created to service business owners with a desire to become a part of the social networking circle. Anyone can take advantage of the networks, but be prepared, as these services may soon be automated.

The Original Social Networking Business Ideas

The plan is simple: Have someone update Twitter and Facebook with information about business happenings. This meant someone was constantly researching for news and fun tidbits to share with anyone paying attention to a Twitter feed or Facebook page.

Anyone with a basic understanding of how these applications worked may be hired to update feeds and to seek out friends, the basics in improving networks. This takes time and effort. Some smaller businesses don't have the money to hire someone to update feeds and network. They may also not have the time to do it themselves. How can one automate the process?

Introducing Social Awareness Business Ideas

Now more applications are being made that automatically update feeds and introduce friends. For example, on a Twitter account, if someone were to send a tweet on a business, for example Betty Crocker, the Betty Crocker company can automatically choose to follow that person. This type of thing is becoming more common.

The applications that can help someone automate their social networking has become more important. Twollow is an application that will automatically add people to a company's following list on Twitter if they mention certain keywords in their tweets. The Betty Crocker scenario is a prime example of this.

Automatic posting may become more common as well. Twitter Feed is another social application that will post a new tweet to Twitter if that person posts a new blog post. So a blog post's link will automatically be sent to Twitter, Facebook and other social network feeds.

As stock updates are added to Twitter, and social invitations are posted on Facebook, additional applications may be presented. There are some applications already that post how much electricity is being used out of a single socket, and potted plants are automatically tweeting owners when they need more water. How long before more automated feeds have businesses naturally updating without ever typing a single word?

Making a Great Social Awareness Feed

There may come a time when all of these social network systems are more automated. Simpler is better, as Twitter and Facebook and other social networks that have simple interfaces have proven. Small business can take advantage of these applications now. With a few simple set ups, they can automatically friend anyone who friends them, and then friend their friends, and so on.

Not only that, but a marketer may take advantage of the applications as well. Updating and making network friends may become simpler, but offering automated packages to smaller networks might make for some new career ideas. Learning about the applications may become prudent, and as more are created, more will need to be learned, and eventually utilized.
